Congratulations to the McNamara TrawlerBoyz family, cooking from the Field Kitchen in our all-weather beer garden, for being awarded this prestigious finalist plaque from the 2024 Cully & Sully / McKenna Guide Chowder Competition. This recognition is incredibly well deserved, as we truly believe their chowder is the best in Ireland!
Out of hundreds of entries from pubs, restaurants and hotels across the country, the initial public vote narrowed down the competition, with The TrawlerBoyz in third position for the majority of the competition. Cully & Sully and The McKenna Guide judges then hit the road to personally taste the top contenders.
While the La-la Cafe and Restaurant in Balbriggan took home the top prize, we could not be prouder of The TrawlerBoyz. A huge congratulations to the other finalists and to everyone involved!
