Take the N25 east to Midleton, then the R629 south through Cloyne to Ballycotton. Approx 45 minutes.

From Midleton

Follow the R629 south through Cloyne directly to Ballycotton. Approx 20 minutes.

By Bus

Bus Éireann route 240 runs Cork to Midleton. From Midleton, local taxis serve Ballycotton.

Parking

Free public parking on Main Street and at the pier — both a 2-minute walk from The Blackbird.

There is also parking available behind The Star of the Sea church…  first right turn after the Blackbird.

How far in advance should I book a private event?

This depends on availability. To avoid disappointment, we recommend contacting us as early as possible. However, last-minute availability is always worth checking too.

Absolutely. Trawler Boyz manage our Field Kitchen and can offer flexible menu options to suit a variety of tastes and event requirements.

There is no on-site parking at The Blackbird, as we are located on Main Street in Ballycotton. Public parking is available near the playground and the Catholic church, with additional street parking available locally.

Yes, The Blackbird is a wheelchair-accessible venue.

Yes, you are welcome to arrange your own DJ or band. Our manager, Mossie, is also very well connected and can provide live-music recommendations if required.

Yes! Well-behaved dogs on leads are very welcome in our Beer Garden. We also provide water bowls.
